Click on the Network Connection Icon in the bottom-right of the start menu (near the system clock). This will bring up the Network Connection Window. Depending on how your computer is setup, it should look like one of the icons below: |

Click Set up a new connection or network in the Network and Sharing Center ![]() |
Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click Next ![]() |
On the Type the information from your Internet service provider (ISP) screen (below), enter the details as follows: A) Dial-up phone number – Select local number for you: 4367068, 4622027, 5290027, 7762027, 6848016, 3137083, 7587038, 3849016, 2244042, 4100993, 4457047, 4457027, 6328016 (other dialup numbers available nationwide) B) User name: Your RiverNet username in the form of an email address, all lowercase. Example: yourusername@rivnet.net C) Password: Enter your RiverNet password, all lowercase D) Connection Name: Type RiverNet E) Allow other people to use this connection: If you have other Windows user accounts on this computer, and you intend for them to be able to use this dial up connection, check the box. Otherwise, leave it unchecked. F) Ensure you have connected your modem to the phone socket, that nobody is using the phone line, and click Connect. This will dial the connection and connect you to the internet. |

6. To reconnect to this dial-up connection in the future, click the Network Connection icon in the bottom-right hand corner of the start menu, click RiverNet, and then click the connection button. |
A window will appear. Click on Internet Options |
Erase whatever is in the window to the right of the “house”, and type https://www.rivnet.net |
Click the Connections Tab – RiverNet should appear in the window. If you have any other Dial-up connections in the window, click on them to highlight them, and click the Remove button to remove them. Click the “radio” button to the left of Always dial my default connection Click the Settings button |
